Overdrive tip.

Ok, some of you might already know this, but I just figured it out while trying the "overdrive explosion specialist" feat. I thought the little green burst when you hit R1 was what they meant, but I just couldn't register a kill. If you hold R1 and release at the right moment(like in demolition,but timing has to be perfect to get the explosion) theres a big blue explosion right as overdrive kicks in. I may have missed it but don't recall the game mentioning this fact.So apologies if all of you knew this, but I just figured it out, after having the game for quite a while, and wanted to help anyone else who was struggling with the "explosion specialist" feat, and in general.

Yea, I probably never would have figured it out had I not seen and attempted the associated feat. I assumed overdrive was already pretty powerful on its own and didn't require anything that upped its usefulness. Its handy for getting enemies above,below,and behind you all at once if they are within the blast radius. Its not a guaranteed thing, though as if you release too early or late you dont get the explosion, but like anything else its easier with practice.

Oh, that Overdrive trick has been in since the beginning. It's actually pretty useful score-wise :)

It's also on our Resogun guide (I'm targeting next week for release of V2).

Is there any plans on protector mode info in the guide? I already made a post regarding this, but was looking for info regarding the mode.The city destroyer countdown and teleport tokens seem to suggest speed is important -that destroyers should be avoided,but from a score perspective it seems better to just wait and kill destroyers before you progress.I just kind of feel conflicted on what the mode suggests prioritizing.Like the countdown/tokens vs score are pushing opposing strategies . In simpler, clash-ified terms; " should I stay or should I go" :1cool: ( I still love it, its just not quite as straightforward as the other modes and am looking for clarification)

Yes, I'm finishing the guide today (that's the plan). Will release it this week.
