Outland and the color mechanic.

Sat Apr 27, 2013 8:46 pm

The first time I saw Outland I was reminded of this

I wonder how many games use similar concepts like that, of course one is a platformer and the other is a danmaku :B

Well actually Ikaruga was one of our references, so your feelings are not misleading ;)

As you might know, we like old school shooters...

Liking old school shooters so much that you implement gaming mechanics from them to other genres, awesome! :D

Oh hey, I've wanted to try Out of this World for some time too... I've heard some developers regarding it as a cult classic.

It's a beautiful game, and I think they recently released an HD version for mobile devices. See this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_W ... nniversary

I haven't played it in a while, I'm not 100% positive that it still holds up, but give it a try.

It's also quite short, so you can play it easily in a couple of days.

Hey, thanks for the info, saw it on the past humble bundle but I couldn't get it, and now I see there's even a steam version!

Will get it, absolutely. Probably try to play all versions, I like spotting changes and thinking about the reasons~
